Over 250 women attended our Annual Spring Gathering and Business Meeting at Mo Ranch in Hunt, Texas, March 23-25, 2012. Our theme, chosen by the Gathering Hosts from John Calvin Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, was “Living with Purpose.” The offering was to benefit Su Casa de Esperanza.
The Spring Gathering for 2013 will be April 5-7, 2013, hosted by the Presbyterian Women at The Wimberley Presbyterian Church, with the theme: "The Story Unfolds," based on the scripture 2Timothy 2. and Ephesians 3:14-21.. The Rev. Kathy Anderson will be the speaker, and Beth Watson will be the music leader. The offering will benefit The Pan American School, Kingsville, TX.
Mission Link, our newsletter, was mailed to congregations two times a year during the year. One was sent during January to remind people of the Spring Gathering, and one is sent in August to remind groups of the Fall Cluster Gatherings. Our website is updated at least quarterly.
The Annual CT planning meeting was held August 11, 2012 at The Presbyterian Church, Gonzales, Texas.
Our Moderator represented PW-MP at the meetings of Mission Presbytery, presenting a report in the Packet and on the floor of Presbytery at the meetings. Women in Mission Presbytery represent all of us in the Greater Church. The Coordinating Team of the Presbyterian Women of The Synod of the Sun was represented in 2012-2013 by Patti Nance, Mission Presbytery PW Moderator; Dahlia Vela, Mission Interpreter; Scott Payne, Search Committee Chair; and the Rev. Reyna Mairena. Francile Blue was selected by the Synod PWCT as their representative to the Churchwide CT at the Churchwide Gathering 2012. Esperanza Guajardo served as Moderator of the Churchwide Coordinating Search Committee during the Churchwide Gathering in Louisville, KY, for the term 2009-2012 and Dahlia Vela was installed on the CWCT in July 2012 at the Churchwide Gathering of Presbyterian Women. Elder Sandra Pinaire, Corpus Christi Cluster leader, was installed as the Moderator of Mission Presbytery for the Year 2012.
Joy Durant, who attended the Global Exchange to India, was nominated to be Moderator of the Synod of the Sun Presbyterian Women, for 2013-2015. Joy also attended the 57th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Sherry Hardwick, New Braunfels Presbyterian Church, was selected to represent Synod of the Sun PW at the 2013 USA Mission Experience to Appalachia.

Corpus Christi Cluster Gathering was held Saturday September 15 at Parkway Presbyterian Church, Corpus Christi, Texas.
The Farmland Custer meeting was held Saturday September 8 at The Presbyterian Church, Gonzales, Texas.
The Hill Country Cluster Gathering was held Saturday September 15 at the Burnet Presbyterian Church, Burnet, Texas.
The San Antonio Cluster Gathering was held Saturday August 18 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, Texas.
The Valley Cluster Gathering was held Saturday September 8 at First Presbyterian Church, Weslaco, Texas.
The Victoria Cluster was held September 8 at the First Presbyterian Church, Palacios, Texas.
